MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004735 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'flow controlling device for pipeline.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A flow controlling device for pipeline, comprising a cylindrical shaped body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to body 1 on a fixed surface, an opening 3 is crafted on body 1 for enabling a user to insert a pipeline inside body 1, an ultrasonic sensor installed inside body 1 for detecting insertion of pipeline inside body 1 for actuating a pair of electromagnetic spring 4 to get energized for pulling a puller 5 for compressing pipeline, a microphone 7 enabling user to input voice commands regarding a flow that user desires to maintain inside pipeline and accordingly microcontroller actuates spring 4 to magnetize or demagnetize to pull or release pipeline that results in providing appropriate flow of fluid through pipeline and a leakage detection sensor for detecting leakage of fluid through pipeline for actuating a speaker 8 for generating voice command for notifying user regarding leakage."
