MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023587 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'flower pot holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Durgesh Wadhwa; and Krishan Kumar Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A flower pot holding device, comprising a cylindrical body constructed with a circular platform 1, a ring 2 connected with the platform 1 via multiple links 3 for holding flower pot, a pair of curved- shaped members 4 hangs the body, a proximity sensor detects presence of flower pot within the body, an imaging unit 5 detecting dimensions of flower pot, a plate 6 rotates the flower pot, multiple blocks 7 configured with the plate 6 via multiple motorized sliders 8 grips the flower pot, a weight sensor detecting weight of the flower pot, a telescopically operated rod 9 attached with a suction cup 10 providing support to the body, a curved-shaped extendable sheet 11 protecting the plant from wind, multiple motorized clippers 12 support the branches, a robotic arm 14 cut the branches/leaves via a motorized cutter 15."
