MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019416 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'fluid flow regulation device.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fluid flow regulation device comprises of a circular frame 1 configured with a flap 2 to install on an end portion of a pre-installed pipe, a laser measurement sensor embedded on the frame 1 for detecting circumference of the frame 1, multiple suction units installed on inner periphery of the pipe for affixing the pipe with the frame 1, flap 2 configured with multiple hinge joints 3 for providing movement to the flap 2 while dispensing the fluid, a flowmeter installed on the frame 1 for detecting flow of the fluid, and an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 5 configured with a plate 6 for extending and positioning the plate 6 behind the flap 2 in view of regulating the flow of fluid."
