MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020713 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'flyover maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pradeep Kumar Gaur; Dr. Tarun Singhal; Saloni; and Suryavanshi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A flyover maintenance device that comprises of an rectangular frame 1 having first and second side positioned over a flyover, pair of platforms each installed at the first and second side of the frame 1 to accommodate a vehicle, pair of artificial intelligence based imaging unit 5 installed with platform 2 for capturing and processing images of the flyover, crack detection sensor installed over the plates 6 to monitor presence of crack, multiple accelerometers installed over the frame 1 to monitor vibrations experienced by the flyover, corrosion is sensor installed over the plates 6 to monitor presence of corrosion of the flyover, red LED 9 (Light Emitting Diode) installed over the first and second side to warn driver, anemometer is installed on the plate to monitor wind speed, and multiple solar panels 8 are mounted over the plates 6 for converting solar energy into electricity."
