MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079878 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'food item baking assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Harsimranjeet Singh; and Ashwini K. Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food item baking assistive device comprises of a circular platform 1 carved with multiple holes 2 to accommodate multiple food items and placed on a cooking pan, the pan is positioned over burner of a stove in for baking the food items, a laser acuity sensor mapped on each of the hole for detecting diameter of the food items, a motorized iris lid 3 embedded within each of the holes 2 to close for gripping the food item within the holes 2 in a secured manner, a camera 4 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of the food item, a temperature sensor mapped on the pan for detecting the temperature of the pan, and an electronic nose installed on the platform 1 detects the food item to be roasted."
