MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611027634 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on March 9, for 'food monitoring and preservation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A food monitoring and preservation device, comprising a cuboidal structure 101 on a plurality of suction cups 102 with a pressure sensor to detect pressure applied on the cup 102, a contact sensor to assess surface contact quality, and based on the sensory data the structure's stability is monitored, a touch screen display 103 to enable users to input detailed information about the type of food stored inside, a multi-sectioned storage chamber 104 to accommodate different types of food such as dairy, fruits, vegetables, a motorized sliding gate 105 to enable the user to view the stored food in the respective section, a weight sensor and a level sensor to continuously monitor the weight and level of the stored food and upon detecting low food levels, and an alert is generated through an speaker 108 to notify the user immediately."
