MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511060194 A) filed by Arya College Of Engineering & I. T., Jaipur, Rajasthan, on June 24, for 'food waste composting machine.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Neeraj Saini; Dr. Sourabh Bhaskar; Sanjay Manghnani; and Ritesh Mathur.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Food waste represents a significant environmental and social challenge, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, resource depletion, and socioeconomic disparities. Drawing upon insights from extensive research, it is identified the critical need for decentralized composting solutions to address the complexities of food waste management effectively. In response to this pressing issue, an innovative food waste composting machine is designed and fabricated as a sustainable solution for organic waste management. This composting machine utilizes a combination of aerobic decomposition and temperature regulation mechanisms to efficiently break down food waste into nutrient-rich compost, mitigating the environmental impact associated with landfill disposal. Rigorous testing and evaluation procedures were conducted to assess the machine's performance in reducing food waste volume, producing high-quality compost, and minimizing ecological footprint. The results demonstrate the efficacy and reliability of our composting machine in achieving sustainable waste management outcomes."
