MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018871 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'foot protection device for bed.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A foot protection device for bed, comprising a platform 1 configured with a pair of rods 4 equipped with a suction cup 5 to be adhered on a bed, a push- button 2 crafted on platform 1 for securing platform 1 over bed, a camera 3 installed on platform 1 detecting bed width, a triangular body 6 constructed with a set of plates 7 installed on platform 1 via a slider 8 for translating and positioning body 6, a pneumatic blocks 9 configured on one of plates 7 to extends in a manner to form a cavity, a pair of flaps 11 attached with one of plates 7 via motorized hinges 12 for tilting and deploying flaps 11 at sides of the body 6, a proximity sensors fabricated on one of plates 7 to detects presence of individual in proximity to body 6."
