MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025970 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'foot soaking assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A foot soaking assistive device, comprises a pair of wearable members 1 each crafted with an opening 2 accessed by the user to wear each over the foot, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 captures images of feet, a motorized drawer arrangement provides extension to the members 1, a strap 4 engages around ankle portion of user's foot, a motorized roller 5 rotates on its axis to wrap the strap 4, silicon-based layer waterproofs the members 1, a level sensor monitors level of water in members 1, a speaker 6 produces voice command, a temperature sensor monitors temperature of the water, a Peltier unit regulates water temperature, a pressure sensor monitors pressure applied by the strap 4, a suction unit withdraws water from member."
