MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012445 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'foundation installation assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Jasgurpreet Singh Chohan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A foundation installation assistive device, comprises a dome-shaped body 1 incorporating plurality of cavities 2 each assembled with a ring integrated on the body 1 for insertion of an auxiliary rod, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine positioning of the rod, a crank and slotted lever arrangement 4 assembled on the body 1 through a link 5 provides thumping movement, a motorized ball and socket joint 6 to orient the link 5 and the arrangement 4 over the rods, an ultrasonic sensor to inflate an air bag 7 integrated with the ring for preventing soil ejection, an IR (infra-red) sensor to monitor alignment of the inserted rods, a speaker 8 to alert the user to re-orient the rods, and plurality of motorized pop-out wheels arranged underneath the body 1, each by means of an extendable bar for maneuvering the body 1."
