MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019362 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'fuel filling assistive device for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ravinder Singh; and Dr. Sudesh Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a fuel filling assistive device for vehicles, comprising a platform 1 developed to be installed at back side of a fuel tank lid, multiple suction cups 2 attached on platform 1 for affixing with lid to mount platform 1 on lid, an accelerometer installed on platform 1 for detecting state of lid, a touch sensor installed on body 6 for detecting accessing of body 6 by user's hand, an electromagnetic patch attached on platform 1 for demagnetizing to allow user to wear body 6 and engage a correct fuel nozzle installed inside fuel tank, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on platform 1 for capturing and determining type of fuel nozzle, an ultrasonic sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting distance of body 6 after filling the fuel."
