MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006902 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'fuel re-filling assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Aishna Mahajan; Satish Kumar; Shivansh; and Shrestha Pratap Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fuel re-filling assistive device for four-wheeler vehicles, comprises of a circular plate 1 adhered over fuel tank flap of a four-wheeler vehicle, a microphone 2 accessed by a user to give commands for adhering plate 1 over flap, a computing unit accessed by user to provide commands regarding type of fuel to be filled into fuel-tank, a camera 4 to detect a fuel dispenser held by an operator, a speaker 5 to notify the operator to fill correct fuel, a rain sensor to detect rain in surrounding, a curved-shaped extendable member 6 to shade opening of the fuel tank and prevent water to enter and a pair of clipper 7 to close flap of the fuel tank."
