MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321080363 A) filed by Rallis India Limited, Maharashtra, on Nov. 27, 2023, for 'fungicidal composition, formulation and process for preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Rupak Paul; Tusharkumar Chakhale; Amar Raj; Vinay LS; G N Kendappa; Nagesh Savade; and Sai Yaddanapudi.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an agrochemical formulation comprising prothioconazole and trifloxystrobin active ingredients, wherein the formulation is a water dispersible granule (WG) formulation or a wettable powder (WP) formulation and a process for preparing the formulations thereof. The invention particularly relates to water dispersible granule formulations and a process for preparing the same. The agrochemical formulation comprising prothioconazole and trifloxystrobin nullifies phyto-toxicity, exhibits a greater activity, better bio-efficacy, better selectivity, provides higher effectiveness against fungal pathogens in plants, reduces dose of active ingredients thereby lowering undesirable environmental impact, lowering production and market cost."
