MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024004 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'gap caulking device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gap caulking device comprises of a cylindrically shaped hollow body 1 associated with the device having a first and second portion and the first portion is accessed by a user to manually insert a tube filled with liquid polymer, a touch sensor incorporated within the body 1 for determining presence of the tube within the body 1 to determines presence of the tubes, multiple telescopic pushers 2 fitted within the body 1 for pressing the tube to push the liquid polymer towards a triangular shaped member 3 installed on the second portion of the body 1, and a suction unit 4 mounted within the member 3 for drawing and translating the pushed polymer towards a nozzle 5 configured on tip portion of the member 3 for dispensing the polymer over a gap present in between joining edges of objects."
