MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025527 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'garbage/ waste collection assistive device for sacks.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Amresh Kumar; Satwinder Singh; Amanpreet; Devesh; Suraj Kumar; and Dushyant Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A garbage/ waste collection assistive device for sacks, comprising a cylindrical frame having a pair of curved vertical plates 1 positioned in proximity to sack, an imaging unit 2 captures images in vicinity to the frame, a drawer arrangement extends the plate, multiple electromagnets energizes to establish frame from the sack, a proximity sensor monitors presence of waste in proximity, a motorized hinge joint 4 provides movement to V-shaped member, multiple telescopically operated rods 5 extends to create ample space inside the sack, a LiDAR sensor detects dimensions of the sack, a speaker 6 notifies the user of filled capacity, multiple motorized clippers grips corner of the sack."
