MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059961 A) filed by Robert Bosch Gmbh, Stuttgart, Germany, on June 23, for 'gas injector having optimized valve housing.'

Inventor(s) include Haug, Martin; Schmieder, Dietmar; and Bosse, Daniel.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a gas injector for injecting a gaseous fuel. The gas injector (1) comprises a magnetic actuator (2) having an armature (20), having an internal pole (21), having a magnet pot (54) and having a coil (22), and comprises a closing element (3) having a valve needle (30), wherein the closing element (3) opens up and closes a gas path (14) at a sealing seat (11), and wherein the armature (20) is operatively connected to the closing element (3). The gas injector (1) furthermore has a tubular valve housing (8), which forms the radially outer closure and which radially outwardly delimits an annular space (80) for supplying the gaseous fuel in the direction of the sealing seat (11), and also has a housing component that radially inwardly delimits the annular space (80). According to the invention, the housing component that radially inwardly delimits the annular space (80) is formed by an inlet-side main body (7), the magnet pot (54) and a support body (75), wherein the support body (75) is sleeve-shaped and has a lateral region and a base region, and the base region forms a radial collar (76) by means of which the support body (75) and thus the gas injector (1) can be supported at least indirectly on a cylinder head (45)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 17, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/078820.
