MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017972 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'gas welding assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gas welding assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 configured with multiple wheels 2 for moving the platform 1, an inverted U-shaped handle 3 for moving the platform 1, a chamber 4 for storing a roll of filler material, a microphone 5 to input voice commands, a motorized roller 6 for rotating on its axis to unwind the filler material, a conduit 7 for supplying the filler material towards a hand-held unit 8, a power supply unit 9 for supplying power to an electrode 10 for heating the filler material, an electronic nozzle 11 attached with a gas reservoir 12 for dispensing gas towards the junction to ensure proper welding, a speaker 13 to notify the user to adjust the hand held unit 8, a motorized brush 14 for cleaning the detected dust, and a solar panel 15 for harnessing energy from sunlight."
