MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025623 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'glass pieces sorting and collection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A glass pieces sorting and collection device comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 3 enabling a user to give input commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 detects location of the glass pieces, a robotic arm 5 transfer glass pieces to a chamber 2, a pair of motorized sliders translate the chamber 2 over ceiling portion of the housing 1, a primary motorized lid transfer glass pieces to a container 8, an electronic nozzle 9 dispense cleaning solution in the container 8, multiple motorized brushes removing dirt/dust from glass pieces, a vacuum-based suction unit 11 withdraw cleaning solution from the container 8, a secondary motorized lid transfer clean glass pieces to a platform 12, a vibrating unit 14 generates vibrational sensations to segregate the pieces in multiple receptacles 15, a motorized iris lid 16 allowing user to collected the glass pieces."
