MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517041890 A) filed by Ablynx N. V., Zwijnaarde, Belgium, on April 30, for 'glycoengineered fc variant polypeptides with enhanced effector function.'

Inventor(s) include Jaworski, Julie A.; Kathuria, Sagar V.; Park, Sunghae; and Zhou, Qun.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides glycoengineered Fc domain variants comprising one or more oligomannose-type N-glycans and an Fc domain mutation. The present disclosure also provides nucleic acids encoding Fc domain variants and host cells for making Fc domain variants. Methods for increasing the yield of Fc domain variants, and methods of using Fc domain variants to treat disease, are also provided."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 25, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/060739.
