MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046997 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 15, for 'grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.'

Inventor(s) include Wada Naoki; Iwaki Masataka; Takahashi Masaru; and Hamamura Hideyuki.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In this grain-oriented electrical steel sheet, a plurality of grooves extending in a direction angled 60-120 with respect to the rolling direction are formed on the surface of a base steel sheet at intervals of 2-10 mm in the rolling direction. At the bottom portion of each groove, Ra is 5.0 m or less and the absolute value of Rsk is 2.0 or less along the extending direction of the groove."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/042042.
