MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095061 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Oct. 3, for 'grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and method for forming insulating coating film.'
Inventor(s) include Takeda Kazutoshi; Takatani Shinsuke; Kataoka Takashi; and Kogakura Yuuki.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This grain-oriented electrical steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet and an insulating coating film formed on the surface of the base steel sheet, wherein the insulating coating film comprises an interlayer formed on the base steel sheet side and containing a crystalline metal phosphate and a tension coating film layer formed as a surface-side layer of the insulating coating film. The crystalline metal phosphate has a board shape and an average grain diameter of 0.5-3.0 m."
The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 12, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/014857.
