MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025620 A) filed by Arshitha Food Products (Green Salt), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 4, for 'green salt made of solanum trilobatum.'
Inventor(s) include S. Uma Maheswari.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Green salt, also known as value-added herbal salt, is prepared by blending pure sea salt with natural ingredients such as Solanum trilobatum leaves. The said leaves are ground under wet conditions and mixed with sea salt in a systematic, step-by-step process carried out under proper guidance. Excess moisture is removed through controlled drying, after which the salt is kept at room temperature, packed in standardized quantities, and sent for marketing."
