MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511123159 A) filed by Sharda University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 6, 2025, for 'green synthesis assembly for cobalt ferrite magnetic oxide particulates.'

Inventor(s) include Tehreen Sherwani; Dr. Mohit Sahni; Munendra Singh; and Dr. Babita Tripathi.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A phyto-mediated magnetic oxide particulate synthesis assembly (100) has been presented for production of magnetic oxide particulates through coordinated botanical extraction, precursor preparation and particulate formation. A botanical handling region (102) transfers Crocus sativus floral tissue through washing (104) and drying (106). An extraction vessel (108) receives dried botanical material with an aqueous solvent under thermal input (110) and agitation (112) so a phyto-reactive liquor enriched in phenolic and flavonoid constituents is obtained. A precursor preparation region (116) produces a mixed precursor liquor containing cobalt and iron salts at a Co:Fe ratio of 1:2. A reaction chamber (124) receives both liquors under agitation (126) so nucleation of particulate intermediates occurs. A separation region (130) comprising centrifugation (132), washing (134) and filtration (136) yields purified particulates. A thermal conditioning unit (140) forms a stabilised biogenic surface layer. A characterisation interface (160) enables adjustment of operational parameters."
