MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127079 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 15, 2025, for 'gypsum board trimming device.'

Inventor(s) include Puneet Sudan; Pushpender Sharma; Rupinder Kaur; and Abhineet Anand.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gypsum board trimming device comprising, a platform 101 positioned on ground surface, multiple telescopically operated rods 102 arranged underneath platform 101 for supporting platform 101 at a height, a plate 103 accessed by user for positioning a gypsum board to be trimmed, an ultrasonic sensor detect dimensions of board, multiple motorized clippers 104 grip gypsum board, an imaging unit 105 capture and process images of board, a touch enabled screen 106 display 3D map that is accessed by user to input details regarding portion of gypsum board to be trimmed, multiple hydraulic actuators 107 arranged on platform 101 via a L-shaped bar 108 for positioning multiple chamfering blades 109 on board, further the chamfering blades 109 and hydraulic actuators 107 move the blades 109 in linear reciprocatory motion over board, resulting in trimming of board."
