MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020740 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'hair care device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tanuj Sharma; Dr. Geetika; Pranati Prakash; and Sonam.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hair care device, comprising a wearable body 1 positioned on a head portion and installed with an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 2 determines dimension of head portion, multiple plates 3 integrated with body 1 via plurality of hinges that move plates 3 in multiple directions to cover head portion completely via plates 3 and maintaining an optimal gap from hair of user, an odour sensor senses odour of hair care products that are to be applied on user's head, a speaker 5 notifies user for non-usage of products on user's hair, a heating coil heats water accommodated within multiple containers 4 to produce steam that is released out via pores to be applied with hair care products, a moisture sensor determines presence of moisture on user's hair and a motorized fan blow air on hair."
