MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018855 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'hand-held hair combing device.'
Inventor(s) include Ajay Kumar Upadhyay.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held hair combing device comprises of an L-shaped extendable body 1 developed to be gripped by a user and installed with an elongated plate 2 installed with multiple fine hollow members 3, an ultrasonic sensor to detect dimension of user's hand, a camera 4 to detect density of the user's hair, a motorized slider 5 configured between members 3 and plate 2 to increase/decrease members 3, a microphone 6 accessed by the user to provide voice commands for selecting the mode of combing, a bi-directional DC (Direct Current) electric motor to rotate the plate 2 for combing the hair, an iris pore 7 attached with each member 3 to open and dispense hair care solution on the user's hairs and an air blower 9 installed with the plate 2 to blow air for drying-off the user's hairs."
