MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023595 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'hand-held pipe installation assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held pipe installation assistive device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned by a user on surface, handle 2 for providing grip to user while handling the body 1, AI based imaging unit 3 to detect exact location and dimensions of the pipe, holographic projection unit 4 to project a holographic image on the surface for assist the user to position the body 1 over the pipe, C-shaped members 6 to be arranged over an inverted U-shaped cavity, motorized slider crank arrangement 7 to position the member over the pipe for enclosing the pipe within the member, multi-sectioned chamber 9 for storing nails, robotic arms 8 to grip and position nails on edges of the members, hydraulically operated plunger 10 for securely affixing members 6 over the pipe and a speaker 11 to guiding the user to position the body 1 at optimum angle to efficiently secure the pipe with the surface."
