MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005863 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'hand-held wireless controlling device for televisions.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to hand-held wireless controlling device for televisions comprising of an IR operated remote 1 having an IR (Infrared) blaster that allows tuning of remote 1 with a television, multiple buttons 2 that are pressed by a user to access various TV channels, a fingerprint sensor 3 enabling user to provide finger impressions to register request for authentication of user, in case of successful authentication of user, controller actuates an electromagnetic latch 5 for demagnetizing to release plates 4, a touch enabled screen 7 enabling user to input details regarding type and model of an appliance that user to tune with remote 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 8 processing images of user controller fetches profile of user, and in case user selects restricted channels by pressing buttons 2, controller actuates a vibration unit 9 for generating vibrations to notify user regarding restricted channel."
