MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017944 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'hand-operated water dispensing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-operated water dispensing device, comprises a L-shaped frame 1 configured with plurality of suction cups 2 arranged underneath the frame 1 for affixing the frame 1 over a fixed surface, a hollow tube 3 attached with the frame 1 for supplying water through an electric nozzle 4 connected to the tube 3, a tension sensor configured on the tube 3 for detecting tension upon pulling of the tube 3, an ultrasonic sensor embedded on the tube 3 for detecting distance, an electronic sprinkler 5 connected with the nozzle 4 for providing multiple modes of dispensing water, multiple push buttons 6 crafted on the frame 1 to manually control flow of the water, a temperature sensor embedded on the tube 3 for detecting temperature of the water flowing through the tube 3, and a speaker 7 mounted on the frame 1 to alert the user."
