MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024077 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'hand supporting and resting assistive device for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Aashish Bharti; and Dr. Dharmendra Singh Tomar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand supporting and resting assistive device for vehicles, comprising a bi-directional extendable frame having a first and second portion 2 positioned on hand rest of a vehicle seat, an imaging unit 3 for determining position of the hand rest, a clamping unit 4 installed at the first portion 1 to grip the hand rest, a tactile sensor detecting hardness of the hand rest, a proximity sensor determines distance of the user's hand, a cushioned pad 6 configured on the second portion 2 enables user to support their hand, a thermal camera detects presence of strain over the arm, a curved-shaped member 7 configured with Peltier units 8 to produce heat on user's arm, a sensing module detecting vital health parameters of the user, a weight sensor determines positioning of the arm in a posture, a speaker to produce a voice notification."
