MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024712 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27 for 'handheld label pasting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Divya Sharma; and Munesh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld label pasting assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having proximal and distal end, a handle 2 attached with proximal end for a user to position body 1 in proximity to an agricultural produce that is to be labeled, a microphone 3 installed over body 1 enables input voice command of user regrading requirement of labeling of agricultural produce, an imaging unit 4 installed over body 1 monitors distance of agricultural produce from body 1, a primary motorized roller 5 installed over body 1 translates one of label over a secondary motorized roller 6 installed at distal end, multiple suction units 7 installed over periphery of a motorized cylindrical member 8 installed over distal end by means of a pair of links 9 to pull out label from roll followed by actuation of member 8 to rotate on axis for pasting pulled out label over agricultural produce."
