Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Handover Failure Processing Method Through Physical Layer And Mac Layer Indication In Next-Generation Mobile Communication System' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517052687 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 30, for 'handover failure processing method through physical layer and mac layer indication in next-generation mobile communication system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to an operation of a terminal in a mobile communication system. An operation method of a terminal in a mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a serving cell, a radio resource control (RRC) message including an L1/L2-triggered mobility (LTM) configuration; receiving, from the serving cell, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating LTM handover; starting a timer and performing the LTM handover on the basis of the LTM configuration; and when the LTM handover is successful, stopping the timer."
