MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527060369 A) filed by Poppe Group B. V., Veere, Netherlands, on June 24, for 'harvesting device.'
Inventor(s) include Poppe, Bertus Johannes; Poppe, Bertus Marinus; and Poppe, Marinus Willem.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Harvesting device configured to be mounted on a root crop harvester that is movable in a travel direction for progressively harvesting root crop in soil along the travel direction, wherein the harvesting device comprises a mounting frame for mounting the harvesting device on the root crop harvester, and a pair of dished disc-shaped shares for cutting into the soil and transporting root crop from said soil towards a processing region, wherein the disc-shaped shares are rotatably mounted side-by-side to the mounting frame, and the disc-shaped shares are rotatable about their respective centre axes in mutually opposite directions such that, during rotation, root crops are collected by the disc-shaped shares in a transportation region and moved towards the processing region, wherein an edge region of one of the disc-shaped shares overlaps an edge region of the other disc-shaped share in the transportation region."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 04, 2023, under International application No.PCT/NL2023/050636.
