MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517060284 A) filed by Magnolia Medical Corp., Newport Beach, U.S.A., on June 24, for 'heart valve delivery device.'

Inventor(s) include Monroe Christian G; Rogers Ari W; and Sattell Jack Berkman.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A delivery system for a heart prosthesis includes a tubular loading member with a notch passing through its wall at a distal edge, and a prosthesis retention member positioned within the tubular loading member. The prosthesis retention member has multiple prosthesis retention areas shaped to engage prosthesis engagement portions of a heart prosthesis. The tubular loading member and the prosthesis retention member are longitudinally and rotationally movable relative to each other. The notch has multiple rotational positions that completely expose one of the prosthesis retention areas while covering the remaining areas. This delivery system allows for precise positioning and secure retention of the heart prosthesis during implantation."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/081439.
