MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004729 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'heat dissipating device for electric meter.'
Inventor(s) include Gurprinder Singh Dhindsa.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A heat dissipating device for electric meter, comprising a cuboidal shaped perforated frame 1 positioned over an electric meter, installed on a wall surface by means of multiple suction cups 2, a temperature sensor detecting temperature of inner surroundings of frame 1 for actuating multiple motorized iris lid 3 for opening to expose perforations, followed by actuation of motorized exhaust fan 4 for dissipating heat, a dust sensor detecting presence of dust particles inside frame 1 for actuating a vacuum operated cleaning unit 5 for cleaning dust particles, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 determines presence of damping on wall surface for actuating an audio-visual alarming unit 8 for generating audio-visual alerts to notify user regarding damping and a fingerprint sensor 9 enabling user to input finger impressions while accessing meter for actuating motorized hinge joint 10 for exposing an opening for allowing user to access meter."
