MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058162 A) filed by Miyoshi Oil & Fat Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on June 17, for 'heavy metal treatment agent, and method for treating wastewater and incineration ash using same.'
Inventor(s) include Terada Kazuhiro; Takamatsu Yuichiro; Tanaka Shuya; and Kawai Koji.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a novel heavy metal treatment agent having an improved performance in the treatment of elements in Groups 6-16 of the Periodic Table or compounds thereof, including wastewater treatment, incineration ash treatment, and so forth; and a method for treating wastewater and incineration ash using the heavy metal treatment agent. The heavy metal treatment agent according to the present invention contains the following component (A) and at least one selection from the following components (B) to (E): (A) at least one dithiocarbamate from amine compounds represented by any of formulas (I) to (III), formula (I), formula (II) (Each X independently represents a hydrogen atom or a 2-aminoethyl group, wherein at least one is a 2-aminoethyl group.), formula (III); (B) a base; (C) at least one selection from aminocarboxylic acids, mercaptans, and aminophosphoric acids; (D) a dithiocarbamate of a polyethyleneimine; and (E) a sulfur-containing compound."
