MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019331 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'heavy object lifting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ajay Singh; and Dr. Jitendra Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A heavy object lifting assistive device, comprising a plate 1 positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine dimensions of object present in proximity to plate 1, a drawer arrangement 3 integrated on plate 1 to extend/retract plate 1 for properly accommodating object on plate 1, a pair of flaps 4 arranged on lateral ends of plate 1 by means of a motorized hinge joint 5 for tilting flaps 4 at a required angle for covering sides of object to secure object on plate 1, a pair of looped straps 6 for engaging straps 6 on user's shoulder and a motorized roller 7 is arranged on plate 1 and coiled with each of straps 6 to rotate for tightening/loosening strap 6 around user's shoulder in order to aid user in lifting the object with support of user's shoulder."
