MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045548 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 12, for 'high strength steel sheet high strength plated steel sheet methods for producing same and member.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The purpose of the present invention is to provide a high strength steel sheet which has excellent YR and is reduced in the amount of trapped hydrogen within the steel when immersed in an acid. A high strength steel sheet according to the present invention has a component composition that contains in mass% 0.030% to 0.500% of C 0.01% to 3.00% of Si 0.10% to 6.00% of Mn 0.100% or less of P 0.0200% or less of S 1.000% or less of Al 0.0100% or less of N 0.0100% or less of O and 0.002% to 0.300% of Sb with the balance being made up of Fe and unavailable impurities while having at a position corresponding to 1/4 the sheet thickness a steel structure that comprises martensite in an area ratio of 30% or more ferrite in an area ratio of 70% or less and residual austenite in a volume ratio of 20.0% or less. This high strength steel sheet has a superficial enrichment index of Sb of 1.2 or more."
