MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517019396 A) filed by Facc Ag, Ried im Innkreis, Austria, on March 4, for 'hinge arrangement for a door of an overhead luggage compartment.'
Inventor(s) include Kammerer, Bernhard; and Entsfellner, Martin.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a hinge arrangement (1) for a door (32) of an overhead luggage compartment (26), having - a side cover panel (2), - a lever arm (3) for supporting the door (32), which lever arm is connected to the side cover panel (2) so as to pivot about a pivot axis (4) and can be pivoted between a first pivot position, which corresponds to an open position of the door (32), and a second pivot position, which corresponds to a closed position of the door (32), - a spring element (5) which is connected to the lever arm (3) is order to support a movement of the lever arm (3) between the second pivot position and the first pivot position, and - a setting element (6) by means of which pretensioning of the spring element (5) can be set."
