MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014036 A) filed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'homogeneous catalyst for lpg in si engine.'
Inventor(s) include Bhowmik, Sandip; Narayanan, Krishnamurthy; and Srinivasa Narasimha, Sheshachala.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a homogeneous catalyst comprising esters of p-nitrobenzene carboxylic acid with pentaerythritol. The addition of the homogeneous catalyst to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) fuel significantly improves the Laminar Flame Velocity (LFV) of LPG. The present invention also provides a process for preparation of the catalysts and a process for preparation of a homogenous catalyst doped LPG fuel."
