MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014273 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'horse riding assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Sukhmani Sandhu; Sarabjit Kaur; Manveer Kaur; Aarti Dhiman; and Kritika.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A horse riding assistive device comprises of, a semi-cylindrical shaped frame 1 configured with a moisture sensor for determining presence of moisture over skin of the horse's back portion multiple blowers 2 for drying the skin of the horse, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 3 to determine dimension of the user's back portion, multiple motorized rollers 4 wrapped with straps 5 configured beneath the frame 1 for unwrapping the straps 5, an electromagnetic strips 11 for locking the straps 5 with each other, an ultrasonic sensor for determining distance of the user's feet from the frame 1, and a telescopic rod 6 to extend and position a stirrup 7 in proximity to the user's feet, and a sensing module for determining heart rate and muscle strain of the horse."
