Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Hot-Rolled Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Sheet And Method For Manufacturing Same' Filed by Posco Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517048641 A) filed by Posco Co. Ltd., Gyeongsangbuk, Republic of Korea, on May 20, for 'hot-rolled non-oriented electrical steel sheet and method for manufacturing same.'

Inventor(s) include Kwon, Soobin; and Kim, Yun Su.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hot-rolled non-oriented electrical steel sheet according to an embodiment of the present invention contains, in wt%, 2.8-4.0% of Si, 0.1-1.3% of Al, and 0.3-2.0% of Mn, with the remainder comprising Fe and inevitable impurities, and satisfies expression 1 below. [Expression 1]: 1.1=Hv1/HV2=1.5 (In expression 1, HV1 represents the hardness measured at the surface of the steel sheet, and HV2 represents the hardness measured at half the thickness of the steel sheet.)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 21, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/014380.
