MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023593 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'hvac pipe bending assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Ajay Agrawal; and Aishwary Awasthi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An HVAC pipe bending assistive device comprises of, an elongated body 1 having proximal and distal end, a handle 2 is fabricated over the proximal end that gripped by a user to position the body 1 in proximity to a HVAC pipe that is to be bend, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 mounted over the body 1 to determine dimensions of the pipe, an laser projection unit installed on the body 1 to project laser light over the pipe, a touch interactive display panel 5 arranged over the body 1 to provide input regrading an angle in which the pipe is to be bend and a speaker mounted over the pipe to produce a voice alert for notifying the user regarding the detected crack and corrosion."
