MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611048750 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, on April 16, for 'hydrogel composition and applications thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hydrogel is disclosed. The hydrogel comprises a natural polymer containing free amine groups, a synthetic hydrophilic polymer containing pendant hydroxyl groups and a dialdehyde crosslinking agent capable of forming imine linkages with the free amine groups and acetal linkages with the pendant hydroxyl groups. An electrochemical immunosensor and an immunosensor system comprising said hydrogel is also disclosed. The immunosensor may be used for detecting a protein biomarker."
