MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095007 A) filed by Momentive Performance Materials Inc., Niskayuna, U.S.A., on Oct. 3, for 'hydrophilically modified silicone pressure sensitive adhesive.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A novel hydrophylically modified silicone and a composition for forming a hydrophylically modified silicone pressure sensitive adhesive is shown and described herein. The comprises comprises (i) a MQ silicone resin, (ii) a polyorganosiloxane, and (iii) a siloxane comprising a range of hydrophilic functional groups. The mixture of (i), (ii), and (iii) is self-catalyzing and does not require an external condensation catalyst. The composition is suitable for forming a cured silicone material such as, for example, a pressure sensitive adhesive compatible with polar additives or actives used in various applications."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/021578.
