MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202444100421 A) filed by Nokia Solutions And Networks Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Dec. 18, 2024, for 'identifying straggler devices.'
Inventor(s) include Muhammad Majid Butt; and Istvan Zsolt Kovacs.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Identifying Straggler Devices This specification discloses an apparatus, method and computer program. The method may comprise identifying one or more straggler devices among a plurality of devices, suspending transmission of an aggregated model to the one or more straggler devices for local model training, and resuming transmission of the aggregated model to at least one of the one or more straggler devices if the at least one straggler device meets one or more resumption criteria at a subsequent time."
