According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention belongs to the technical field of image processing. Disclosed are an image decoding method and apparatus, an image coding method and apparatus, and a device and a storage medium. The image decoding method of the present application comprises: extracting image residual data or extended residual data from an image code stream, and obtaining a plurality of extended residual groups on the basis of the extracted image residual data or extended residual data; respectively performing residual recovery on the plurality of extended residual groups, so as to obtain an image reconstruction feature corresponding to each extended residual group; performing spatial-domain resolution amplification processing on the image reconstruction feature corresponding to each extended residual group, so as to obtain reconstruction feature data; and performing image reconstruction according to the reconstruction feature data, so as to obtain a reconstructed image block. Since acquired extended residual data is residual data which has been subjected to spatial-domain resolution reduction processing, residual recovery processing performed in groups on the entire group can be implemented at a low resolution, thereby improving the overall residual recovery calculation efficiency, and reducing the time complexity."
