MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518065844 A) filed by Koninklijke Philips N. V., Eindhoven, Netherlands, on July 10, for 'image signal encoding/decoding method and device.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Bae Keun.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus according to the present invention may generate a prediction block of a current 5 block on the basis of a pre-defined prediction mode, generate a residual block of the current block on the basis of a predetermined transformation type, and reconstruct the current block on the basis of the prediction block and the residual block."
