MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011406 A) filed by Best Agrolife Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'improved process for the preparation of tembotrione using m-xylene.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajendra Kharul; Deepak Ranjane; Pramod N. Karlekar; Dr. Suresh Iyyer; and Surendra Sai Nallamalli.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an improved process for preparation of a herbicide compound. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the preparation of Tembotrione of Formula (I) using m-xylene. Further, the present invention also relates to an agrochemical composition, comprising Tembotrione of formula (I) and a process for preparing same."
