MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544005193 A) filed by Carrier Japan Corporation, Tokyo, on Jan. 22, for 'indoor unit of air conditioner.'
Inventor(s) include Hasegawa Tatsumi; and Gajina Kenji.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An indoor unit 2 includes: a housing 5 that can be attached to a ceiling of a room to be air-conditioned; a heat exchanger 3 housed in the housing 5; a drain pan 6 that accumulates drainage water generated by a heat exchange effect of the heat exchanger 3; and a drainage system 33 that discharges the drainage water accumulated in the drain pan 6 to outside of the housing 5 and guides the drainage water to a drain pipe 32 installed behind the ceiling of the room to be air-conditioned. The drainage system 33 includes: a drain socket 31 protruding from the housing 5; a flexible hose 35; and a first connecting portion 36 that connects the drain socket 31 and the flexible hose 35 and is inclined with respect to a protruding direction of the drain socket 31."
